Good evening everyone,
I would be pleased if one or the other would take a critical look at our floor plan.
A Frisian house with just under 160 m² living space on the ground floor + upper floor is to be built. Additionally, a versatile basement is to be built, e.g., for a home theater. The location of the house can be taken from the [Lageplan].
Currently, there are two of us, but two children are planned in the foreseeable future.
The guest room on the ground floor is to be connected to the pantry after 35 + X(X) years, so that we can live on one level in old age.
At first glance, we are very impressed with the floor plan, but it can’t hurt for you to take another look to save us from major building mistakes.

Thank you very much and best regards!

too many windows in the north... unnecessary slanted wall extending over two floors... 45° walls are always considered a compromise among architects...

this makes the living room too cluttered, why not an open kitchen and practical 90° walls? And if the open kitchen is frowned upon, then still straight walls and a door from the kitchen to the living room...

the windows are too narrow on the upper floor

45 degree walls are often used when nothing else works. With 160 sqm, I expect more experience from the architect in designing a living program that deviates from the standard, rather than setting slanted walls everywhere. But could it be that one restricts oneself to a planning corset with the symmetry of a Frisian house???

A Frisian house with Freßwarze and French balconies... The last Frisian house (18th century) I was in had a staircase outside the entrance dirt area and managed without 45-degree emergency solutions. Since we're on the topic of deleting, maybe also consider the text box in the site plan. Is permission for publication granted? WD

No architect, just a stamp guy.

You can't say anything about the windows without views anyway. The 45 degree walls do not please me at all. But what concerns me more is the placement on the property. Is it allowed to be so slanted? But it definitely fits with the 45 degree corners inside. For me, that would be absolutely nothing. milkie :)
