The question would be where else to put the washing machine and dryer??? I personally think it's nonsense to put them on the ground floor when all the bedrooms and children's rooms are upstairs, where all the wardrobes with clothes are. Bringing the dirty clothes to the ground floor to wash them there and then bringing them back upstairs, for me as a man who also does laundry and has no problem with housework, is unnecessary work.

I fully agree with you about the daylight. How else could I do it?

Our laundry hangs and will continue to hang outside in the future, if the weather cooperates (otherwise in the utility room), for me the ground floor is more optimal + a laundry chute for the bathroom upstairs.

You are approaching from the southwest side. I would definitely change that and place it on the north side. Then use the south and west for the garden!

I didn’t have a concrete idea yet, just wanted to ask... I don’t find the one window in the bathroom bad. With the lighting options nowadays, natural light in the bathroom is no longer that important (in my opinion). I see a pantry less as a cool place for food and more as a walk-in closet for everything I can’t or don’t want to put in kitchen cabinets (because it’s too big). Drying laundry outside is unfortunately only for non-allergy sufferers :(

Nice niche, but it can almost only serve for day jackets and shoes. Basically, it is obvious that the storage room must/could be entirely for seasonal wardrobe. However, it could then be a bit smaller. I would possibly arrange these 3 utility rooms a bit differently... if not, there would still be enough storage space in the freezer room together with the pantry. I would rename the pantry as a utility kitchen: it can have a sink, storage space for a microwave etc., and on the other side then a broom closet and so on. Tools and decorations would then go in the technical corner. Laundry room upstairs for the laundry.
