Some things have already been mentioned. I’m just saying, "hike" from the front door to the living area. Bathroom not usable/furnishable as is. Except for the vanity cabinet, no wall for small cabinets. Balcony strip for the "cigarette afterwards," no one needs (uses) it. "Costs" only. ….. Quite clear: Neither 1 nor 2.

… whether the will show up here again? So far, his curiosity about the comments has been very restrained, as he has not been here since the post was created ;)

I virtually walked through the house and this is what I noticed:

[*]The distance from the entrance to the bathroom is too far for me, from the dining table rather too openly close.
[*]Laundry room and office are fine – right next to each other could be annoying, you usually hear the machines.
[*]The dining area is cozy but really only works with the corner bench solution.
[*]How are the windows in the dining area? Can they be completely folded away? That would be a nice feature.
[*]The kitchen island and the dining table are quite close together, the passage feels very narrow and disproportionately tight in relation to the room size.
[*]Why sofas with the back facing a floor-to-ceiling window have to be placed in a newly planned house has never really been clear to me.
[*]The upper floor is great, I would choose a sliding door for the bathroom. The small hallway is quirky.
[*]If a wardrobe stands behind the head end of the bed, the space between the wardrobes is very narrow and in my opinion unsuitable as a dressing area.
[*]The shared balcony with the children at the front is a great feature. Possibly plan some privacy plants.
[*]Children’s rooms and children’s bathroom are also good.
[*]I like the idea of having everyone face one direction, if a corresponding wide view is possible.
[*]Why only no light from the side where it is possible?
[*]The roof on the upper floor looks creepy to me. The house “screams” for a flat roof with concealed photovoltaics behind a parapet.
[*]The roof on the single-story part of the building I would make usable. Green roof on top and an upper garden with access next to the stairs.
[*]I find the proportions of the building parts ground floor and upper floor to be disharmonious.
[*]Top lighting is worth considering for this house.
[*]Garage with access and basement are OK.

Cost optimization in construction works differently, but I’m sure you know that yourself.

I like the conceptual idea, but I would struggle with the proportions.

Regardless of the floor plan, I can imagine that it could turn out pretty cool if the cube with the huge flat roof is visually and structurally decoupled from the actual main body...

With wooden paneling or something similar plus a green roof, it no longer looks like a workshop with living space upstairs... ;)

With a corner bench also awkward. Wooden paneling? Well, the current roof calls for red geraniums on the balcony ;)

Thank you for your feedback! The passage to the garage is planned not only for convenience but also to better get things into the basement. We will definitely reconsider the master bedroom + bathroom...
