Good point. We hadn’t actually planned cabinets that deep, but on the other hand, there is enough space on the kitchen side to slightly shift the wall. We need to reconsider this.

Pax is only 60 cm for the corpus, if I remember correctly. With the pull-out shelves, quite a few shoes fit in *grins*

No, 60 is standard for wardrobes, and often a few centimeters for doors are added. Of course, there are some with less depth, but then there are problems with hangers. A proper wooden hanger for jackets is about 44 cm long and wants to swing freely in the wardrobe when occupied with a jacket. Good built-in cloakroom cabinets from a carpenter are often even deeper. Mine was 70 cm deep inside so that shoes fit properly as well.

Since I always find sliding doors in the wardrobe area quite practical, one should actually consider at least Pax dimensions as standard. With sliding doors, that is 66 cm, with the carcass being 58 cm deep.
