A half reset is needed (see ypg)

I personally don't like looking directly into the living room from the door. It's also a matter of personal taste. If you swap the kitchen and the work area, that would be possible. But the path from the terrace to the kitchen would then be immense.

Yeah, but nobody wants to sit half in the hallway by the stairs either…

Some (many) build the stairs into the living room ;-)

Some (many) build the staircase into the living room ;-)

but usually without small children. I find the "discussion" here too one-sided... demotivating. In this respect, I can only hope that the architect makes an effort again.
