Floor-level shower drain with underfloor heating

Does anyone have experience with a walk-in shower with underfloor heating

Except for the proposal to our heating installer (who then advised us against it), no.

Not yet, but soon. Our heating installer recommended it to us. He said the low temperature of the underfloor heating would not be sufficient to make a bathroom nice and warm, so every extra sqm for the room is a plus. And from my experience with our current bathroom, I can confirm that he is right, that the room is not warm enough with just the underfloor heating – at least not for kids. Without a towel radiator, it wouldn't be so nice and warm in the bathroom during winter. The latter runs on a timer only in the mornings and evenings.

I have read that a tiled shower must be done very professionally to prevent moisture from penetrating the floor in the long term. Also, my husband and I have wondered whether a shower tray is not easier to clean, or whether in a tiled shower the grout lines on the floor do not quickly become dark and unattractive. At the moment, we are therefore in favor of a shower tray. However, I would also be interested in the experiences of others with the tiled option. Warm feet are not to be underestimated, after all?
