The letter is from the Federal Ministry for the Environment. The energy provider would not have been allowed to activate the house connection if it is by law.

I am also not the only one without

We also asked the insurance beforehand. The fact is, as long as it is not stated in the [Landesbauverordnung], it is not mandatory. The insurance is based on the [Landesbauverordnung].

The insurance doesn't mind. Not in the state building code.

Are there detailed requirements regarding the conductor cross-section, etc., included in there? Or is there only reference made to general standards?

The insurance doesn't care The energy provider doesn't care The electrician has no problem not installing it The architect said it doesn't have to be The expert approved the whole thing That was the information from the insurance today regarding the [Landesbauverordnung]. I certainly won't look it up now, especially since Bavaria is not Berlin.
