Faucet without mixer? Only hot/cold?

I am currently looking for new faucets, initially for the bathroom. At the moment there is still a usual single-lever mixer there, but with us the water is either hot/warm or cold and should not be mixed or that would be pointless. Is there another solution besides taking two cold water taps and connecting them separately to the respective pipes, since sinks usually only have one hole. Basically something like the old taps with control knobs on the left and right but without the rotating knob. Maybe with a push button? It should be a bit modern. And you don’t want to have to crank for hours until the strongest stream finally comes. I have also thought about sensor taps but I’m bothered by the battery. Somehow I am missing the right term to google (Zweitemperaturwasserhahn doesn’t work, Wasserhahn ohne Mischer yields no results when put in quotation marks).

Tara, the classic by Dornbracht fulfills exactly that.

Hello Elina, I have been trying all along to understand the reasons why you want it that way.. ??? And what speaks against swinging a single-lever mixer either all the way to the right or all the way to the left? Best regards Steffi

Hi,

I also can't quite imagine your wish for "digital water," but the friendly bookseller does offer such things, try searching for "DP bath - Waschtischarmatur Serie Almendro, 1 Stück, bronze, GCB001," and the electronic marketplace would also offer you something if you searched there for "Wasserhahn Badezimmer Zweigriff Retro Armatur Gäste-WC Waschtisch Nostalgie Neu." Retro and not exactly chic, but useful as a reference point. And the image search at Aunt G. from the USA can show you many good things when searching for "waschtischarmatur zweigriff."

The hot water temperature is set directly at the heat generator and it would be nonsense to then mix the expensive heated water back down with cold water. Of course, you can also swing single-lever mixers, we do that currently, but you can also set middle positions and since we don’t need that, it would simply be redundant. Just like with the shower actually, we would only need an on/off button there since the water is set precisely to the degree at the heat generator. By the way, very practical, in my opinion. In the past, in rental apartments, you had to turn the controls endlessly until you finally got the right temperature, which unfortunately didn’t stay constant, so you constantly had to readjust, including squeaking moments when it suddenly got ice cold or super hot.

We now always get hot water at 42°C, which is okay for all purposes, and if it should be hotter, I can quickly set 60° (which is immediately available), or in summer also 37°. That also saves quite a bit of energy and the missing constant readjustment saves water.

@ Kermit
Two-handle faucet, I’ll look into that! This Retro Almendro is exactly what I don’t want again, rotary controls. You crank and crank.... But the direction is roughly right. They would just have to be buttons where, when pressed, the full jet comes out immediately.

Hi,
Aside from the fact that the same temperatures would lead to a divorce or worse ...

They are helped by thermostats. We have been using them for a long time. There is no tedious readjusting. But okay, to each their own.
