Extremely loud banging from the flat roof

Hello everyone,

in 2015 we built a prefabricated house from Schwabenhaus with a flat roof. Whenever there is frost, the temperature drops below 0 degrees, extremely loud popping noises from the roof can be heard inside the house. These are comparable to a gunshot, so loud that you fall out of bed at night. The bang can even be heard in the neighborhood.
There was no statement from the construction company regarding this roof problem.

Maybe someone of you has the same problem with the roof, hopefully also a solution for it.
I am grateful for any sensible advice!

Heating knocking when it delivers more power at lower temperatures?!

What type of roofing is present? Metal roof? Metal parapet?

With us, something also cracks in the cold, or when the sun then shines on it. I think it's the carport roof. These must be some tensions that are releasing. Even a car with Airbumps (Cactus C4) cracks while driving if it has previously experienced below zero temperatures outside, because there is an expansion between the different materials.

those will be some kind of temperature stresses that are so strong below 0 degrees that components shift slightly against each other. That's the bang you hear.

But figuring out which ones they are and also eliminating them? Difficult... is the roof construction somehow accessible from your side, do you have a chance to get temperature measuring devices in there?

Here again, wonderful tips are being given. Cactus cracks too; that's just how it is. Or, why the temperature should be measured now is also beyond me. (If you already know that it cracks at around zero degrees.)

@TE: You are not the first whose roof cracks. Just try searching, here in the forum or in the "Green" or directly on Google, there are quite a few hits. (I remember some posts...). There were also some measures regarding this. Whether they were ultimately successfully implemented...?
