We have the following passage regarding lighting in the development plan, maybe take a look if you also need to consider something similar:
7.3 Lighting of the Area
To protect nocturnal insects, street and pathway lighting must be equipped with insect-friendly lamps according to the current state of the art.
Luminaires must be chosen that direct light downward and do not produce stray light.
Private continuous lighting is not permitted.

There is all kinds of stuff... I think it is good practice to use lighting that doesn’t drive the neighbors crazy.
Nevertheless, our architect would say, as she often does: they all have a shadow. For everything and every little thing, these idiots find some rule or regulation.

Hello,
personally, I prefer indirect light that is reflected off the facade (see photos). However, I haven’t tried reading outside after sunset. I think it’s too dark for me to do that.
Our neighbors partly use direct light. However, it is glaring, feels uncomfortable, and due to the glare, you see less when looking towards the house.

your house looks great... I mean the appearance itself, with the projecting "Klinkergiebel" (that's probably not the correct term). Is that a requirement there because the neighbors have it that way too?
