I am not sure myself whether this is a defect?

But are the cracks at the outer edges of the windowsills normal after almost 2 years? If water stands on the windowsills, which normally should not happen because there should be a slope.
But let's say there is snow lying on the windowsill for a few days, doesn't moisture penetrate through the cracks into the WDS?

It is a prefabricated house in timber frame construction with corresponding insulation in KFW 55 standard. However, the insulation is not Styrofoam/polystyrene but wood fiber from Knauf?

Or are these normal settlement cracks at maintenance joints?

Attention layperson's opinion: Probably not... What I see are very minimal, often occurring settlement or stress cracks under 1mm. You take photos of craftmanship-made trades and expect permanent mechanical engineering / industrial quality?

Moreover, the cracks might only be in the top plaster? There is still something underneath, for example Gutex wood fiber insulation boards as plaster carriers can "stand in the rain" for three months without plaster.

In one picture I can make out the 2nd water-carrying layer that was hopefully installed under all window sills. Especially important with wood-based ETICS. Otherwise, the framework or the wood fiber board behind the plaster actually does rot away unnoticed, slowly (your fear?).

For me, however, as already mentioned above, it doesn’t look like you should be worried. If you have photos from the construction phase (installation of the window sills), you might be given better/more precise information.

Thanks first of all...

As I said, "Complaining at a high level, based on amateurish fear of water damage"

I would have to check which meaningful photos I have from the construction phase.

Since it is a small bungalow, suddenly everything was taped off and plastered within a day.

I mean that you can even see a sealing tape, which is rare and good. The micro cracks are most likely harmless.

By the way, a single-family house from Okal Haus with a partial basement plastered completely in 10 hours.. and that includes setting up and taking down the scaffolding..

5 Poles, arrived in the evening.. one side scaffolded and in the morning the second, while plastering one side and afterwards setting up the scaffolding for the other side.

Okay, it is a prefabricated house with straight walls, but respect and it still looks good today.

Assumption: The windowsill expands when heated and contracts when cold. The cracks are caused by the material's movement.
