Hello everyone,
Last year we completely renovated our house, built in 1995. New flooring, painting, new kitchen, ceilings, bathrooms, etc., and also had new interior doors installed. We wanted white lacquered doors in a modern country house style and decided on doors from the company Ringo, model Sera 6. According to the product description, this is a "white lacquer surface (spray lacquer)." This quality designation is also stated on our order confirmation and on the invoice.

The doors were delivered in September 2023 and installed by a professional in October 2023. There were no problems during the first 10 months, but about 3 weeks ago the surface started to peel off on 6 doors.

We are laymen and cannot determine from the nature of the door whether it is lacquered or coated with foil. In our case, we believe these doors are coated with foil and not, as ordered, "spray lacquered."
After discovering the defects, we complained to our dealer about the doors.
Today we were visited by an employee of the company Ringo. Unfortunately, the behavior of this gentleman was anything but professional.
1. He did not know when the doors were installed and assumed it had been several years. - Poor preparation
2. He could not tell us what surface quality our doors have - Poor knowledge of his own product range
3. He could (or would) not discuss the ordered quality versus the delivered one - I have to look at the order confirmation for that
4. There was no engagement with our complaint - The humidity in the room (guest bathroom) was measured.
It was 62% today, a value that is quite normal at an outside temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and an average humidity today of 79%.
Statement from the employee: "Our installation instructions state that the doors may not be installed at over 60% humidity. Therefore, as the manufacturer, we are not liable!"
So logically, Ringo doors may not be installed in regions with higher humidity? In Bavaria, there is often high humidity in summer, so are Ringo doors unsuitable?
I took the trouble to research the optimal humidity level in rooms.

According to the above table, Ringo doors cannot be used as bathroom doors?
4. The claim that the door is "warped," which would also be an indication of too much moisture - I checked the door with a long spirit level, no hump, no gap, no bulge, no wave, no dent.
Many solid wood furniture pieces as well as massive lacquered wooden kitchen fronts and wooden floors are installed in our house. None of these furnishings have problems. Some of the furniture has been in the house for 25 years and none of it has chipped or swollen. We have never had moisture problems in our house. Nor is there any mold infestation.
Our impression of Ringo is that the customer is to blame and Ringo washes its hands in innocence.
At present, we can only advise against Ringo!
We have now given the supplier time until next Friday to respond. We will keep you updated.
