Two taps actually give a two-user width its real meaning. In principle, also over a single-chamber basin. However, a single basin chamber also means a community of water inside it. So if one user closes the drain and thus blocks the water (as wet-shaving basin users regularly do), it always affects both basin users. Hence my assessment of the novelty item or design flaw.
