Experience exchange on total costs for prefabricated house manufacturers

So we currently have an offer from Weberhaus. There is currently a promotional house with a basement. It costs about €235,000. We will do the floor coverings (except for the bathroom and WC) and walls ourselves. The basement alone already costs €51,000. I found that very shocking at first, as I had actually only expected about €30,000. However, the basement is insulated, has triple-glazed windows, and also an insulating screed.

So above all, it is extremely important in the prefab house market to choose a reputable and well-known prefab house manufacturer. A couple of friends unfortunately were only able to have good experiences with the prefab house on their second attempt. Prefab houses are booming at the moment, but unfortunately, unfavorable providers are also entering the market at the same frequency.

Prefabricated house (renowned manufacturer), 125 sqm living space, KfW 70, brine heat pump with ground probe, underfloor heating, KWB with heat recovery, cross gable, shutters everywhere, turnkey (incl. floor coverings/walls): €1368/sqm.

Basement of course extra (approx. €38,000), as well as garage/carport etc.
