Exorbitant power consumption house construction single-family house experiences

I was on the construction site again today and happened to look into the electricity meter cabinet. I almost fell over when I saw 12,600 kWh... And we have just finished the shell.
Our neighbor, who is already very advanced and has finished the screed, only has 8,800 kWh on the meter. Both houses are similarly sized (living and usable area about 350 m2)

Unfortunately, I did not check that the meter was at zero when installed – can it happen that this is not the case? I will call the construction manager tomorrow and ask if that can be correct.

That is quite a lot. We are currently at the screed display program (2 weeks running) and at about 2,500 kW. Please do not confuse KWh and KW, taught me that. The 6 construction dryers and the reheating via heating cartridge consume about 200 KW per day. :)

Then you have exactly confused it. Consumption is kWh.

I thought kWh means a device consumes x kW in an hour. And kW is the total consumption?
