Keep your hands off craftsmen from MyHammer as well as those from Facebook. I really made a big mistake with one of them. It even got to the point of becoming physical. Fortunately, I’m not squeamish and I have the build for it.

Better hire someone who has done work for you in your circle of acquaintances or neighborhood. You save yourself a few euros on nerves and botched jobs.

That's how I see it too. So far, I have always found all my craftsmen through personal contacts, and that has always gone very well. Conversely, I (not a craftsman) also get the vast majority of orders through personal contacts. On internet platforms, you are operating completely in a vacuum. That can work, but the risk of problems would be too high for me.

That is, assuming they also come recommended by the acquaintance/neighbor, probably the best way. But the OP has probably already tried that? At least that would be my first port of call...
