I would like to throw in a founding recommendation for building within existing structures once again.

According to DIN 4123:2011-05, new foundations next to existing foundations must be founded to the same depth as these, or existing foundations with deeper foundation soles must be underpinning sectionally using concrete exchange bodies accordingly."

Therefore, as already described, involve the building authority and have backfilling done immediately. I always especially appreciate photos!
