Completely naive to believe that the contractor will take on the additional costs himself... If in doubt, the entire pool construction must be called off... The construction stop was inevitable, but that everything is now fine... I strongly doubt it.

Who else should do it? The situation was known in advance. At the latest when construction began, the pool builder should have raised concerns about the situation—if it was not known to him. The only one screwed is the pool builder. Because he is the one who has to take care of the proper installation of the pool and the associated measures at his own expense. Passing it on to the original poster might be attempted. But it is not justified.

Exception: There are any clauses in the contract, which I do not suspect with a pool builder.

Factually, everything is fine now – emotionally, possibly not, but with some life experience, you know that 100% happiness in togetherness doesn’t exist anywhere anyway, so everything fits perfectly! But yes, you can always find a hair in the soup if you want to find one.
