€260k comes from a field sale. And our parents are kind enough to cover such costs for us so that we can also build up some wealth.

With your little fortune, others build houses! Good luck, what could possibly go wrong!

That is really great for you, but you should develop a sense for finances if you are interested in a property. 320k is not "a bit of wealth," but more than many dream of having saved up by retirement. What is your actual question in this thread? You have enough equity, you have parents who massively support you financially and, together with the daycare, enable you both to work full-time. So where are you still unsure?

Of course, that's a matter of interpretation, but you could also turn it around and say that you pay your own car insurance, but the parents have built up assets for you. It's six of one, half a dozen of the other.
You probably didn't win the field in a raffle either, but it comes from family ownership?
There's nothing wrong with that either, but if the capital comes from the family, just admit it. That's the case for many.

Sorry, the "a bit of wealth" comment was more referring to the equity minus the field (so about 60,000 euros), 320k euros is of course a lot of money, we know that.
I was just looking for some independent assessments, since it is indeed an unusual setup and a big step.

Yes, it comes from family ownership. However, this field already belonged to my boyfriend. Without our parents, the whole thing of course wouldn’t work at the moment.
