I was such a person. If the viewing appointment worked out, I called my bank advisor, who prepared such a document stating that the bank finances the specific property at street xy with house number zz for me. The whole thing was sent by email to the seller on the same day.

In such situations, it pays off to still be a customer of a branch bank and not just an online bank.

If that's the case, whatever. I'm not under any pressure. But I wanted to take care of a "general financing" anyway soon.

How do you want to check that against their "behavior"? Otherwise, I would have to rely somewhat on the surveyor + what I can see as an amateur.

That's also how we approached buying a house "we're not in a hurry".. Not in a hurry, but the others always react faster and then you're left standing there. I would say most interested parties are like that, they have no pressure. But the question is how far you get if you approach house hunting like that in the current situation.

For our house, we viewed it and called the owners about 30 minutes later to commit. They then kindly canceled all other viewings.

We listed my sister's house on Friday evening, had 4 viewings on Sunday. All 4 committed in writing shortly after the viewing. Now we don't know to whom we should give the contract all sweet families..

I think you get pretty far. Because every visit is one more experience + better preparation next time. I've been watching the market quite a bit longer than I've been registered here. And so far the property listings have always gotten better.

If someone reacts faster, well, that's just how it is. It's happened to me twice already. So I didn't feel any worse afterward . Exactly, no pressure. I'll just keep living in my cheap, large rental apartment.
