Espalier fruit on neighbor's garage - Will the plaster be damaged?

Is it possible to plant a espalier tree next to the neighbor's garage? The garage stands on the boundary, is plastered, and relatively large. Of course, a wooden frame would have to be installed on our property in front of it, which forms the necessary espalier and stands stable independently of the garage.

Would an apple or pear tree damage the plaster? Would the neighbor have to accept such planting on our side of the boundary?
