Those who are currently planning a photovoltaic system or still installing one in February, I refer you to the Solar Peak Law.

In times of negative electricity prices, there will probably be no compensation in the future or one will be forced to throttle the system.
From my point of view, photovoltaic systems without storage are therefore likely no longer to be worthwhile compared to photovoltaic systems with storage.

Our (storage-less) system will still go on the roof this week and I hope we manage to commission it before the deadline for the validity of the law.

As far as I understand, you can choose between a smart meter that then throttles individually when too much is fed in or a basic throttling to 60%. But there is supposedly some kind of extension of the term in return, as far as I have understood. But yes, overall, storage systems will probably become more worthwhile now - due to the new regulation and because they are becoming increasingly cheaper. I recently saw an offer somewhere with 120 €/kWh...

With the new law, charging from the grid, which some providers have already advertised, will probably also be officially allowed.

When is the mentioned deadline? Has that already been decided?

On a provider page, I have presumably read 01.03.25. In the photovoltaics forum, I quickly found the date of the signing by the Federal President for the entry into force, after it has passed through the Bundesrat. It has already passed through the Bundestag. The next Bundesrat meeting would be on 14.02.25.
