first of all, the term Energiesparhaus must be defined. There are "Energiesparhäuser" that date back to Anno Tuk.

A current standard for Energiesparhäuser is, for example, the various standards starting from Effizienzhaus 70 or 55 to Kfw 60 to Kfw 40

houses. The number indicates the energy consumption of the house.

Then there are also passive houses.

For a layperson, it is certainly difficult to recognize such a house from the outside. But actually, you can assume that all newly built houses have at least the standard [Energieeinsparverordnung 2007] or from October the [Energieeinsparverordnung 2009].

The figure at KFW indicates the primary energy demand and has little to do with the actual consumption!

A passive house is funded just like any other KFW house. The criteria are specified on the KFW website. Whether one saves money with a KFW loan can also be a calculation example.

Only passive houses "can" do without heating – electricity is usually still needed, especially since it is cheaper with solar power generation to feed the electricity completely into the grid and draw it normally.
