Since we are mostly building through individual contracts, meaning without a general contractor, I have to inquire about the additional costs arising from the KFW55 standard with the individual companies. But that’s no problem.
However, I also think that the step shouldn’t be too big anyway.
And the 50% cost coverage from the KFW also makes the investment in the energy consultant more bearable.
For the heating system, we are wavering between a gas boiler + solar or geothermal.
I have concerns about the efficiency of an air-to-water heat pump on cold days.
I have learned here that it’s not a question of the heating system itself but of the installation and settings. On paper, a ground-to-water heat pump is more efficient than an air-to-water heat pump. However, if it is incorrectly configured (bound to manufacturer specifications), it can quickly become less efficient.
We want a ground-to-water heat pump with collectors (deep drilling is not possible due to the water protection area). However, the soil must also be suitable for this (according to our general contractor). He is currently having it checked.
