Hello Forum,
we will replace 11 windows/patio doors (existing house 1980 / timber frame construction) with 11 x triple-glazed windows including electric roller shutters + front door.
Our house has 2 floors.
One window has already been replaced, the bathroom was completely renovated last year.
IT IS ABOUT THE CONTROL OF THE roller shutters.
I have looked into 3 options.
1
Proposal from the window company:
Radio tubular roller shutter with wall attachment
We already have such a package in the bathroom / Elero
2
Homematic with LAN access point and actuators.
3
Classic wiring with e.g. Jung push button and normal tubular motor [ 4-core ]
My wife insists that it is reliable and easy to use.
So do I, of course.
Therefore, I tend towards the 4-core wired push button at the roller shutter [ classic but simple ]
Sorry, but if at 60 years old you no longer want to get up from the couch at all, that is the sure way to worse health.
BUT:
FOR ME, it would be thought further ahead to be able to operate all roller shutters on the 1st floor from below (ground floor) - in case of an "accident" like a hip or something.
For this case, Homematic or TempoTel2 hand transmitter would be an option.
When I asked the company whether the push button can be operated IMMEDIATELY after connecting it according to the Homematic actuator wiring, the answer was:
Probably yes, or about 80%.
So for 100%, you have to add or first learn ALL roller shutters....via smartphone...
I always thought that the up/down cables etc. would be passed through to the push button so that the roller shutter could be easily raised and lowered immediately and independently BEFORE learning the actuator.
Apparently not...
SO, THE QUESTION ABOUT THE TEMPOTEL2:
I read the manual but found nothing about whether I can assign a channel to the respective roller shutter DURING the learning of e.g. 5 roller shutters that are on ONE fuse, or whether this needs to be separated later or how?
For example roller shutters 1-3 upstairs channel 1, roller shutter 4 -> channel 2, roller shutter 5 -> channel 3, and so on.
I understand that I can learn multiple receivers on one channel.
But at what point does the channel assignment take place?
These are important decisions that have to be made and we only want to do it once.....
The wall will be channeled open (wood!) or the cable will be laid to the outside in the roller shutter, because we also want to insulate the facade afterwards.
Of course, the electrician will do that...
Maybe someone here has experience with the Elero TempoTel2 radio hand transmitter?
Many thanks and have a nice 1st of May,
Matthias
