Electrical lamp installation on solid wood ceiling

I think with a wooden ceiling (whatever design) it is easier than concrete, some cables can be hidden more easily afterwards... otherwise, I did it the same way as the others, together with the electrician during the shell construction.

I would like to bring up the topic again. So by now, we have decided on a solid wood ceiling with visible quality. Some lamp holes will probably be pre-drilled into the ceiling. But some will likely be done later during the shell construction, so you can see where light is still needed. How are the subsequent lamp holes made in your case? Hole saw and then remove the inside with a chisel, or is it somehow milled? Thanks

What exactly are you planning to do with the hole saw and chisel? A hole with an 8mm drill bit is usually enough for a cable... You surely don't want to install spotlights in the wooden ceiling?

I didn’t do it, but took small spotlight projectors instead.

Otherwise, it’s definitely a bit of a hassle.
You barely have any space, the wood isn’t that thick anyway. The spotlight is supposed to go in there and the whole thing has to be connected.
Honestly, no one wanted to do that for me either. No idea what your construction company ([Stabilität etc]) or your electrician ([Anschlussgefrickel, Temperaturentwicklung,..]) will say about it.
