Hello everyone,
after my initial consultation with the electrician yesterday, he said that he would prefer to do the electrical installation through the [Elementdecke] (that is, before pouring the concrete, laying the appropriate empty conduits on the [Elementdecke] and drilling holes from below at the ceiling for this) instead of after pouring the concrete on the ceiling / on the floor / in the screed.
Hmm, actually I assumed that he wanted to do it later via the floor. Since I’m now a bit torn back and forth, I wanted to ask what the advantages and disadvantages of electrical installation in the ceiling are.
A clear advantage is that you don’t have to cut around the pipes of the electrical installation when doing the insulation/soundproofing layer because the floor is level and there are simply no pipes there. I wanted to lay the insulation on the ceiling myself, so I had already prepared for the “cutting out” for the pipes. Now I think that the installation in the ceiling will probably be more expensive because many holes have to be drilled there, etc. instead of laying everything on the floor from the riser shaft after the ceiling.
What do you think or what did you decide on and for what reason?
Please let me know what you think.
Best regards
PS: Because I have already heard here that when installing in the [Elementdecke] one should also pull the cables into the conduits right away instead of doing this later, the electrician said, “Then it can happen that the cables are occasionally damaged during the backfilling. He prefers to pull them through later and realizes in individual cases ‘okay, the conduit is sealed, I have to take another route.’ That is better than finding out during commissioning that cable xy is damaged.”
