Hello onetwofour, I have been told that wood pellet heating systems are very expensive. The initial purchase must be quite costly, right? I think heating with wood is a good option when it is possible. Somehow, heating with wood is also very romantic. Of course, it should also serve its purpose.

hi!

as far as I know, heating with oil is the most expensive. in 2nd place is natural gas, followed by pellets. you can get away much cheaper with firewood and wood chips.

best regards,
Mara ;)

Hi!

The conversion is certainly not exactly cheap. But I believe I have read that you recover the costs for the conversion after about 2-3 years. From then on, you could say you make a profit.

Best regards

Hi,

interesting to see that opinions here vary quite a bit. Maybe this question of which heating method is the best can't be answered that easily. Nevertheless, everyone seems to agree on the point that heating with wood is the most environmentally friendly option.

Best regards, sennor :)

I really like heating with wood, especially because I simply find tiled stoves great. But you also have to keep in mind that you have to carry the wood for it.

Yes, the most environmentally friendly option is definitely wood. -But I would only heat one room with it and not an entire apartment. In the other rooms, especially in the bathroom, I would opt for underfloor heating.
