Hello everyone,

I am currently in the planning phase of my upcoming new build. Unfortunately, I lack creativity here. I have unfortunately taken the task of designing the perfect floor plan lightly. Now, after knowing all the floor plans from Google, Pinterest, Instagram, show homes, etc. by heart and liking or being helped by none of them, I am hoping for active support here in the forum.

The wish is to have the following rooms on the ground floor:

- Living room (with fireplace)
- Dining room
- Kitchen (with island)
- Pantry
- Guest room
- Utility room (possibly somewhat larger for washing machine etc. or making two rooms out of it would also be an option)
- Guest WC with shower

Brief overview of the house: Planned is a single-family house with a gable roof and two flat-roof bay windows. Additionally, a double garage.

Why did the design turn out as it is now? e.g.
Standard design from planner? own brainstorming A mix of many examples from various magazines...

Attached are some brief brainstormings from my side

Explanation of the attachment:
- Terrace is in the west
- Entrance in the south
- Garages in the east
- The street is in the south
- Driveway must remain there

I hope for creative advice

Well, how about a dimensioned floor plan and then the "written" text ... without planning windows for light etc. and furniture in correct dimensions, everything is just smoke and mirrors

EDIT:
I will also ask the question about the budget again.

I tend to prefer a floor plan for the house between 9x12 and 10x15. I am actually more interested in the room layout. The addition about the windows was a precaution against stupid comments. Of course, windows are of essential importance in the planning.

Is the room layout so dependent on the budget?

Yes ... there is about 100,000 euros difference just for the ground floor between these size limits, roughly estimated.

And, you do have floor plans with layouts ... so put in a dimensioned floor plan and describe what you are still not happy with. And preferably include the corresponding upper floor as well. It seems to me that there is quite a discrepancy in the space requirements of the desired ground floor rooms compared to the desired upper floor rooms.

Well, I don't like the room layout at all, hence the post. The floor plans are purely brainstorming for the arrangement of the rooms, but I really don't like the layout on the right.

I'm looking to gather ideas for floor plans here.

The upper floor is nothing special. A master bedroom with a walk-in closet and bathroom, 2 children's rooms, and a children's bathroom.

And why don't you then describe what you don't like about the individual floor plans? There are no mind readers here yet who can read your thoughts about it.
