no, the house is not standing yet. We first had an old house to tear down and could only start afterwards. But it finally started two weeks ago, and next week the foundation slab for the basement will be poured. However, it looks quite different now than indicated in the plans. (See my profile picture). We have already realized that with a sloped lot you really have to expect additional costs for the foundation (the excavation was almost twice as much for us as for a "normal" single-family house) and the later garden design. Also, our flat roof on the garage is more expensive than a normal roof and more than we had expected. But for that, we chose a somewhat cheaper heating option now ;-)
By the way, the extra costs for the house on the slope are really intense. Everyone should think about that very carefully. Especially now with the garden design, we notice it too... Water pressing here, a drainage there, then still a soakaway, and, and, and... *mussweg*
no, I haven’t posted the final construction plans anywhere yet. I just attached them here right away :)
Also the photorealistic views of our kitchen, which looks simply amazing! I’m curious how it will look in reality. :D:)
The shell including the roof and windows is now up. The flat roof on the garage was finished yesterday as well. The electrical rough installation is also done. We have now had the heating room plastered and only laid screed there. Once it is dry in 2-3 weeks, we can tile there and install the heating. That’s also where we will do the sanitary rough installation.
We haven’t really started with the landscaping yet, or only halfway. We already had to set gabions behind the house as slope support because they were placed there directly by the crane of the shell builder. The rest of the garden will come next year (if we even feel like it then....)
