Hi everyone,
following situation: we have a front door with a motor lock and it was planned to install a Gira doorbell system with intercom and fingerprint sensor there. Everything is also prepared for cabling.
Now, in the course of creating the outdoor area, we have decided to install a garden gate as well. It should normally be closed (so the kids stay in the garden and don’t run off), the mailbox is also hanging there and visitors should ring there first.
It obviously makes no sense to be able to open the front door by fingerprint, but still have to rummage for the key at the garden gate. So it would be best to also have a doorbell with intercom and fingerprint there. 8-core telephone cable and power are available there, so we have all options.
Besides the cost overkill that results from the second fingerprint sensor:
Apparently you can’t connect two outdoor stations to one indoor station with Gira and others, I only ever find systems with 1 door station and X indoor stations.
Question 1:
Is there no such thing? Having to install two indoor stations next to each other seems a bit strange to me!
Since the garden gate is not security-critical, it would also be an option to use a cheaper solution there that also works via the Fritzbox and the phones connected to it because of me. Internet-based solutions like Doorbird etc. would also be an option.
Question 2:
Does anyone have a recommendation for systems to take a look at?
I find many doorbell systems, but with fingerprint it gets quite scarce again.
Best regards,
Andreas
