Hello everyone

My room is 236 cm high and I would like to install a 236 Pax wardrobe. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks and regards
Pablo

that will not work...
you should have a few centimeters of "air" above (approx. 10 cm).
you have to set up the cabinet after assembly, from bottom to top at an angle.

Ikea writes:
"Required minimum ceiling height: 237 cm."

how is that supposed to work?
especially since the assembly instructions mention 244 cm.

ok just checked again...
with a second helper and assembling directly in the vertical, 237 cm is just enough. but it will be very tight...
if necessary, you can possibly saw off 1-2 cm evenly at the base.

Hello,
a helper - with ladder - will be enough ...

Hello

I have set up my 2x100cm wide and 236cm high Pax (with sliding doors) in a room with a ceiling height of 237.5 cm.

According to IKEA instructions for standing assembly.

The following tips may facilitate the assembly:
Attach the fittings for 2 shelves already when preparing the walls.
After the corpus walls are assembled, I would hang the shelves in; this stabilizes the
wardrobe for the installation of the Pax back panel.
For the standing assembly of the corpus and attaching the back panel, I recommend two helpers.

Be careful with the drillings in the wall for the anti-tip bracket of the wardrobe; for me, this was exactly at the height of the electrical wires running in the wall under the ceiling.
I attached the anti-tip bracket about 15 cm lower and drilled two new holes for it in the back panel.

Sliding doors can be slid in from the side; for this, a door stopper of the running rail must be unscrewed.

Otherwise, simply follow the assembly instructions accordingly. It’s not that difficult.

I shortened my Pax by 4 cm (from the bottom) during the move because the room was 2 cm lower than the wardrobe. I could definitely use the extra two centimeters; otherwise, it gets tricky in some spots.

Of course, I skipped the anti-tip device. The ceiling takes care of that at < 2.44m.
