You can also use a sliding door system. At the moment, I am also considering how to reasonably create more space at the knee wall. In the converted attic, we only have 20cm. It will probably come down to something like in the photos.
2.5m costs 1500€ with lacquered glass (colored) without installation. There are also some cheaper solutions, but they have the same principle. I also saw such a system at Baushaus (?), but the color variety is not really available there.
The cabinets/shelves behind the door can be bought cheaply at Ikea.

I had just been thinking about sliding doors as well. Since the window is actually higher than expected, I would box out at 75 cm and have the sliding doors installed.
