Hello everyone, attached is a photo of our children's room. It is approximately 4 × 4.2 m in size and has a very steep slope! The ceiling height goes up to 3.50 m.
In addition, a terrible, inhospitable window (no curtains because of the construction?!) with a disturbing radiator next to it.
I find it incredibly difficult to furnish the room in a child-friendly way. Our daughter is reluctant to sleep under the slope.
Therefore, the bed has to be on the high wall. It should ideally be 1.20 m wide.
I had already thought of a Murphy bed once, but that is very expensive in comparison!?!
A loft bed probably won't work either, because it would have to be mounted above the door and preferably floating, but then there are only 1.50 m up to the top peak!?!?!
Next to it on the high wall there would also have to be a wardrobe.
The radiator bothers me a lot because of course the bed cannot stand there.
Is there a reasonable alternative for the radiator? Maybe a very low, wide radiator down in the corner of the slope ([Drempel])?
Could it simply be moved? Or would cost-benefit be disproportionate?
I may be complaining at a high level, but I simply lack the imagination. I've been struggling with this room for 4 years.
That's why I am hoping for your support and ideas!!!!
Or can/should one hire an interior designer for this?!?!
Best regards and a happy 2020 to you!
