Hello everyone, attached is a photo of our children's room. It is approximately 4 × 4.2 m in size and has a very steep slope! The ceiling height goes up to 3.50 m.
In addition, a terrible, inhospitable window (no curtains because of the construction?!) with a disturbing radiator next to it.

I find it incredibly difficult to furnish the room in a child-friendly way. Our daughter is reluctant to sleep under the slope.
Therefore, the bed has to be on the high wall. It should ideally be 1.20 m wide.
I had already thought of a Murphy bed once, but that is very expensive in comparison!?!
A loft bed probably won't work either, because it would have to be mounted above the door and preferably floating, but then there are only 1.50 m up to the top peak!?!?!

Next to it on the high wall there would also have to be a wardrobe.

The radiator bothers me a lot because of course the bed cannot stand there.
Is there a reasonable alternative for the radiator? Maybe a very low, wide radiator down in the corner of the slope ([Drempel])?
Could it simply be moved? Or would cost-benefit be disproportionate?

I may be complaining at a high level, but I simply lack the imagination. I've been struggling with this room for 4 years.
That's why I am hoping for your support and ideas!!!!

Or can/should one hire an interior designer for this?!?!

Best regards and a happy 2020 to you!

the ahnungs

Dear 2linkehände2, (the name makes you very likeable. Please get yourself one (or two or three) plumbing companies (you can find them in the yellow pages) to come to your house. They will gladly advise you on what is possible for a small amount of money. From here and only with the photos, it is not possible to provide a reliable assessment. LD Vicky

With photos you will get hardly any help here. To set up, you need the floor plan of the room including heating, slopes, windows, and doors.

The radiator is technically in exactly the right place. Visually, of course, not a highlight.

Perhaps a baseboard heater is an option to make the whole thing acceptable?

I don't see that the radiator would make much of a difference if it were hanging somewhere else. The problem is a) a small room with a DN of about 45 without KS, which actually consists only of a sloping ceiling, and b) the desire not to sleep under the slope. That cannot be realized as it is. What about shifting the bed a bit from the "far right" and then placing it there?

Thank you very much for your kind answers and for thinking along with me!

I didn't know about a skirting board heater until now. What "bothers" me about it is that it is electric... I suspect that makes it more costly?!?!?!

Although it’s not really about the costs if there would be a nice solution.
Unfortunately, I was persuaded not to install a dormer... I regret that now.
That’s why I’m trying to get the best possible outcome.
What does it mean: to push the bed from the far right?! Into the room? So then in the middle? I think I’m a bit confused right now.
By the way, the third photo in the attachment is actually the best one in terms of overview. Unfortunately, it is not displayed as a preview ‍♀️
