(Different) Installation Depth of Cover Frames

Dear forum members,

the windows were recently installed in our new building. We have partially box-type roller shutter housings, partially with venetian blinds. What surprised me a bit is the different depth of the outer frames in the exterior wall. The outer frames with roller shutters are clearly further outside than the others (about 7 cm). Furthermore, I also find the outer frames with the venetian blinds very far recessed... there is also insulation and plaster in front of it (a total of 16 cm), and already the outer frame is recessed about 12 cm. That means in the end it lies almost 30 cm deep, with the sash frame even a few centimeters deeper when viewed from outside. Inside, the outer frame is almost flush with the interior wall, so the windowsill inside becomes very narrow (maybe 8-10 cm). Inside, all the box housings are flush with the wall, so that fits. Maybe it is simply due to structural reasons?

I can't quite imagine it yet, but somehow it could look strange from the outside in the end if the window is recessed so extremely? Attached are pictures of the 2 variants.

The blinds need more space than the roller shutters. This simply causes the window to move slightly towards the interior during installation. If these windows are on the same side of the house, it will be noticed by those who know, who look closely, or who are professionals. Most people probably won't notice.

Of course, I understand that. As a layperson, I would have thought, why can't the windows with the venetian blinds simply be pushed further out during installation since there is still enough insulation on the outside so that any protruding boxes and guide rails would be concealed. Currently, the window with the venetian blinds unfortunately sits extremely deep as well.

I would only be interested to know whether the different window depths constitute a defect or are simply due to construction-related reasons.

The concerns are completely justified; with strong exterior insulation, the windows belong in the insulation plane.
However, this is quite complex and expensive – if something like that is not contractually agreed upon, there is nothing you can do about it.
It is not a defect.

I spoke with the house construction company, theoretically it would be possible to push the windows with the [Raffstores] further outward, however there would then only be 5 cm of insulation in front, which according to the planner could be a problem due to thermal bridging. It will be clarified again what could happen in the worst case. Heating a bit more wouldn't bother me, but mold etc. wouldn't be great. Warranty would of course also be reduced in that case.

There are often also minimum overlaps of the [Raffstore/Rollladenkasten] from the [WDVS]. You can't just move them around arbitrarily, apart from the thermal bridge.

People probably don't skimp on foam sealant there either...
