I know. Therefore, I would at least like perennials that bloom in different seasons. I don’t really see the „Vorgarten“. Almost only when I come home. But the stones are no good and they should go.
Thank you. I actually only cut back the perennials in the garden when they start growing green again. Until then, I leave everything standing. I have already looked at your suggestion and am thinking about how to implement it.
Hibiscus needs a lot of water during flowering, so it is also labor-intensive if you don't want to install irrigation
We have two hibiscus hedges. They only got water from us occasionally. Even in very dry years, and they still bloomed abundantly. So I have not yet noticed that they need a lot of water.
It was just a suggestion because of the usefulness for wildlife that the OP would like. The second would be the wildflower meadow I suggested. I would also much prefer to have that here instead of lawn. Unfortunately, that's not possible.
