Looks like the textured plaster on an old-fashioned Greek. The plasterer only knows Q4 as a car.

Thank you very much for the answers, the direction is quite clear. What would also solve my problem with the peeling paint when sanding again. But to save the painter’s honor, here are some more shots taken in daylight. While the dark photos made the situation seem a bit more precarious than I perceive it, with these photos it’s the other way around.

Unfortunately, we have already accepted and paid for the trade (December). In December, we had problems with the tiler/screed layer, who could not agree on whether the screed was okay or if it had to be completely removed. We didn’t have the energy for the painting work at that time and there has only been raking light (west side) for a few weeks due to sunlight and since the installation of the wall lamps.

I hope the painter will get back to me today. I already contacted him two weeks ago and again today. Otherwise, I will contact him in writing.

Sorry, but even with these shots you do not save the honor of the painter. This is and remains far from Q4. In some parts, it is not even worth the money for Q3.

As far as I know, clay plaster is also more difficult to work with. Could it be that you wanted clay plaster because you read about its great properties somewhere and the painter simply has no experience with clay plaster?
Trying to glue wallpaper onto clay plaster suggests he has only dealt with the topic superficially.

Clay plaster is even easier to use because it can be reworked repeatedly. Simply moisten and rework until the desired smoothness is achieved. If a fine top coat is used, the application is even manageable for laypeople.

Ok, I don’t know what the other reviews were referring to. Maybe initially the processability? Is it somehow heavier or tougher? That you can still work over it later is probably good for a layperson, but for the trade that wants to finish quickly, maybe not really advantageous. But I admit that I have no personal experience with that.
