To me, this simply looks like an untalented or unmotivated plasterer.

It is, however, a lime-cement plaster that has been worked on with clay paint, not clay plaster. Your opinion apparently remains the same despite the new photos. He should finally get in touch.

Now it looks like this. He plastered the entire surface again and sanded it this morning before I went to work.
