Hello,
During our renovation, the house electronics are to be renewed. The electrician who will do the work offered me to mill the slots myself to save some money. He would mark everything, set up the machine, and give a brief instruction.
However, most walls have a thickness of 11.5 cm. Vertical slots are not allowed there. Currently, there are also groove cables installed in those walls. Is it still permitted to use them today?
Horizontally, cable ducts with 2 cores have been pulled. You could simply "slot over" them and lay the new cable flush-mounted (NYM and network).
What alternatives are there for vertical slots and what is allowed?
Best regards Jan
