A little more about the equipment. We didn’t choose the simplest option for everything but carefully considered what we really want or need. We have completely wooden windows triple glazed except for the weather-exposed side, which is made of wood/aluminum. Almost all windows have electric shutters or venetian blinds; for a few, we only had the box installed so that we can retrofit if needed. 9 Velux roof windows, three of which are electric. Reinforced ground floor ceiling since the ground floor is very open. In both apartments, oak stairs made by a carpenter (solid wood steps covering a cast-in-place concrete staircase + oak railing). Ceiling height basement 2.40 m, ground floor 2.50 m, upper floor up to the roof. Thick Pavatex boards on the roof as heat protection. Network throughout the house, but I installed the cables myself. We left out TV cables; we only use IPTV. Solid core interior doors. Steel/wood exterior doors. 2 bathrooms with walk-in showers, one with an extra-large tub, 2 guest WCs, 1 steam bath. 2 wooden balconies and a balcony-like walkway 26 meters long that runs around two sides of the house (the house is on a slight slope).
