: At the window/exterior wall or also where the landing will be, it is as planned 2.20m. At the stair entrance, however, it is only 2.16m. So actually exactly between the two walls. In the middle is the railing and you will see that at the top there is a 16cm gap and at the landing 20cm. The stair builder says that compensating a little is possible, but a full 4cm is hardly feasible. Of course, he also protected himself in case we might be dissatisfied later.
Hello, then I understood/figured that out correctly! My idea/approach would be: keep the railing in the middle parallel and compensate on the outer side/wall side respectively. Then only a few millimeters per step need to be compensated. That should be less noticeable than if the middle railings converge.
But as the building expert has already said: a creative idea from the site manager and stair builder is required there!
