Hello everyone,

my wife and I are expecting our second child in about six weeks, and since our first child, at 1.5 years old, already only has a crib in the corner of our office, building a house is becoming more and more urgent...
The house should be designed for four children and must also provide at least one fully functional and possibly a second office for my wife. The style should lean towards country house.
We have already been to our architect twice and received advice, and I have just scanned the preliminary drawing. I would like to hear opinions and suggestions, especially regarding possible planning errors that could regularly annoy us in the coming decades... in short:
What do you think?

Best regards and many thanks!
Frank

The house concept suggests that the children will continue to live in the house when they are older. Is that correct?

At first glance, only two things come to mind that should be reconsidered: 1. Hallway and storage: in my opinion, there is too much door hassle just to get a can of ravioli. I would probably make it one room. 2. The toilet upstairs: the way there is very long... past two sinks... but nicely secluded. On second thought: 3. I would change the door of Child 1 or move it to the back of the room (the square meters can’t be used anyway) 4. Rethink the sofa spot in front of the window in the living room, it’s not a good solution in front of the terrace window. But that also shifts the TV spot somewhere else... These are just some food for thought :)

Thank you first of all for the quick responses!

: I tested access on Windows with Firefox and IE, on Android with Chrome - but I can also upload the files here tomorrow. Where can the file management be found in the account and what is the max size?
: At least it should be possible to split the floors into two apartments - who then lives there still has to be seen. I don't want to live in a huge house with two people in 20 years, and it is not possible to split it...
:
1. The small hallway is for the side entrance - in that storage room will probably also be the children's boots etc., and I don't want to trip over them every time. Maybe the two hallways could be combined.
2. I have to take a look at the next version - the storage room and the shower will be swapped, so the toilet will move as well.
3. Where to move to? The sqm won't be more useful in the hallway, right?
4. True, the space is not optimal. But it’s not better in front of the sliding door either... we'll see - and plan several Sat/antenna sockets. :)

Have a nice evening!

At the moment it looks like the shoes will be left in the hallway (which child opens a door for that?) And you have to awkwardly hop to the supplies ;)

True... But the child won’t get crushed in an airlock right away ;) Maybe communicate something, I don’t know either.

How does it actually work with the static structure? The sliding door on the ground floor is 4 meters long and starts directly at the exterior wall... Normally, you leave the load-bearing interior wall standing by half a meter and then start with the lintel... I thought so ;-)
