So there is news. I spoke calmly with my brother again. The civil engineer was not commissioned to repair or replace the defective pipe. Ultimately, the pipe was replaced in-house (my brother’s brother-in-law) with a new one. Ergo, the civil engineer now assumes that they found the camera in the removed pipe, which is not the case. The original invoice has already been paid. The civil engineer has now issued a second new invoice only for the replacement of the camera.

It doesn't matter who built/replaced/whatever the pipe. It's only about who inserted the camera proctologically. If it was the craftsman himself, he should get a replacement himself, since he messed it up.
