Transfer the amount you consider "without admission of any legal obligation" and "for release from claims". Then wait.

Let's leave the portals aside, that wasn't what I was concerned about. I see labor costs and material costs as two separate items. If the material sometimes costs 50-100 percent more than from online retailers, no craftsman should be surprised if people look for alternatives. As an end customer, I do nothing different than making a calculation: either the craftsman is cheaper including material (possibly with a lower hourly wage) or the craftsman charges a higher hourly rate and I provide the material. That’s fair. And the craftsmen are not so badly off, at least here, after all.

Good evening,

I am quite sure that if your salary (and thus the secured foundation of your family's livelihood) depended on the good operating result of the craftsman, you would argue differently.

Because they do not engage in this game – as great as the temptation may be. By doing so, they secure their survival.

Rhenish regards

She has already written several times that it was not possible for her to obtain a complete local offer including installation for this staircase. Regarding the price conditions, Bauexperte, I agree with you on many aspects.

I would have the remaining work done by another craftsman and deduct the costs for this from the originally agreed costs and transfer the rest.
