Good evening

My rental apartment was renovated after 23 years: The walls were painted and carpets removed! The carpet in the bedroom was replaced with laminate, in the kitchen, hallway, entrance, and stairs with green Linoleum Marmorette.

This linoleum is now giving me headaches! What a shock when I saw it, because unfortunately I was not involved in choosing the color. I find the color impossible and it does not suit the house. Keep in mind that it is a wooden apartment, some rooms have dark brown "Täfer", the kitchen is made of wood (light brown).

Is there a way to cover this linoleum with laminate? Or any other idea what I can do?

I am completely upset and at a loss.

Thank you very much for your advice

Best regards

That is of course annoying and especially in your own living area green laminate, that wouldn't be for me either. The only option I see is to stick PVC flooring onto the laminate. A dry adhesive must be used for this.

Some people have slept here. But the point is to glue laminate onto the linoleum. In my opinion, that is difficult because the substrate is not stable enough. It is also difficult to restore the original condition when moving out of the apartment.

Good advice is hard to come by. Linoleum is usually PVC, and tiles would work on that. So stick PVC tiles onto the linoleum.

I agree with that and such PVC tiles are available in different colors and sizes. However, I also don't think it's right that the tenant was not involved in advance. All double work and double costs.

I could always freak out over something like that. As if there is nothing else to do. Good advice is hard to come by here because all options have disadvantages. The best would be to tear everything out, but that will be a utopia because the landlord will not pay for it.
