But I think that is a bad idea from your friend. It is totally unhygienic to have a carpet floor in the kitchen. You also can't get it as clean anymore when grease splatters or crumbs fall on the carpet. Talk your friend out of it.

Hi,

You can come visit me with your girlfriend. She can take a look at my carpet in the garage; it was in the kitchen for a while. This carpet looks really bad and you won’t be able to clean it anymore.

Hello,

I think your girlfriend wants to have warmth under her feet. That's why the carpet is in the kitchen. But you can also use a PVC covering for that. These partly have thermal insulation and there are no more cold feet. Just go with her to a specialty store and get advice there.

Best regards

So I bought a rug because our floors are very cold. I can wash this rug really well with the machine. There is a program for heavily soiled laundry. The carpet is also made of a material that hardly absorbs dirt.

Best regards

Hello,

I once also flirted with having a carpet in the kitchen. But then I decided on tiles. In winter, I use a small rug, which is regularly washed in the machine. You should consider whether that suits you as well.

No, a carpet in the kitchen, definitely not. It gets dirty very quickly and then looks ugly. Better tiles, laminate, or even a PVC floor. All of these can be cleaned quickly, because in the kitchen it often happens that grease splashes or other things fall to the floor. In no time, the carpet is ruined.
