Because with wood frame panel "prefab" houses you have the problem that the windows should already be installed before transport and assembly of the wall panels, the reputable house manufacturers know this and will insist that the windows are delivered to the factory. By taking a window manufacturer they don’t have in their program, you bring the whole logistics into turbulence (if they even agree to it at all). With stone wall panels you can practically neglect this difficulty and with site-built stone houses the windows come as separate elements in the walls anyway.
