Why not just call 2-3 [Sanitärfritzen] and ask what the purchase and installation of this washbasin would cost? Also ask what the purchase and installation of the standard basin would cost. Then you'll immediately see if they want to rip you off or not.

It would be interesting to know if really so many craftsmen are called Fritz

It has nothing to do with "ripping off." Yes, go ahead and call, the "plumbers" will definitely be knocking down the door of the "mechanical engineer" (are you a plumber?) because of a washbasin installation.

What world do you live in? The plumbing companies are fully booked, whoever is not fully booked is doing something wrong or I wouldn't want to buy anything from them.

Above all: Even if he "rips it off," he can't change anything about it.

For me, such a small sink would not be anything - but I consider that personal luxury. Ours is 120cm wide, that is freedom of space for me.

Well, I can only speak for myself (by the way, no reason to get snappy immediately ), and for us it has always worked without any problems so far. Once in my workshop. I called him, told him what I wanted, he came by, created a written estimate and I commissioned it. One week later (as agreed) a technician showed up here with his vehicle and installed the stuff and I paid for it. Same about a year ago with the new house water filter and expansion tank. Call, estimate, order, execution, payment. At least here with us it has been no problem so far. What could he change about it? As I said, just hire a local established plumber (better? ) with the big basin and shower instead of the above-mentioned provider, if that one charges outrageous prices. And since suddenly there is such a fuss about the word "Fritze" here, let me add that at least in this area it definitely does not have a derogatory tone, but is simply a colloquial job title and completely neutral. Gas-water-sh... would have a somewhat more negative connotation

You can ask anything after all... No one should do it for free, and if the price difference to the developer is so big that you can do something else with the saved money, then why not.
