Removing 30 cm of soil and disposing of 55 m³ corresponds to an area of just over 180 sqm - is that correct on your end? That would be 60% more than our offer from August 2018 - for soil class 6 and steep slope location with a local civil engineer who certainly is not the cheapest. Are the conditions on your site particularly challenging?

The 30cm removal would only be for the construction road, to then fill it with rubble. The 55 m³ is the excavation under the house, that is under the foundation slab. Sorry for the confusion. The construction road is estimated to be about 70-80 m².

However, I have now also spoken with another earthworks contractor who said that the 30cm excavation is not necessary at all - I do not want to use the area for paving afterwards. So it is enough to put fleece and rubble on top. I will then reuse it later.

OK. What is included in the amount of 8500€? It can't just be a few meters of construction road and hauling away the excavation. Is the excavation included?

The €8500 net includes:
1. Creating the construction road: approx. 70-80 m² (estimated), 30 cm excavation + removal, compacting the base, filling with RC material 15 m³
2. Loading and removal of 55 m³ excavation. The digging is already included in the house price, unloading beside the house is free. So this is the extra charge for loading the truck, hauling away and disposal
3. Transporting and providing construction machinery for points 1+2

Individual prices:
1 x truck trip €130
1 m³ earth removal + disposal €56

Nothing else is included in the offer, also no price breakdown between the points

80sqm*0.4 are 32 cubic meters of solid ground. Loosened that is round about 51 cubic meters. Fits with the generous calculation of 55 cubic meters. Per tandem load you drive just under 20 cubic meters -> 3 trips

Installation of only 15 cubic meters of material?

All in all, you can do it in 1-2 days depending on personnel.

I would say, they are looking for a fool.
