Cost of a subsequent roof window

Hello,

maybe someone can give me a rough orientation.
We currently have the attic not planned as living space and therefore only one window on the gable side and no skylights.
However, about 35 sqm of living space could still be gained if needed at some point later.

Without skylights, it is definitely too dark in the rear part at the moment.
We are now considering whether it makes sense to install a skylight now (insulation, cladding... not finished yet, but already roofed)
Or will it not be much more expensive if we simply retrofit it in 10 years, if we definitely need it then?

Would also be interesting to me. Roughly estimated, a larger roof window with about 140cm width at KfW standard costs about 1.8 to 2k.

In new construction or during retrofitting? I would have expected around €2000 for retrofitting, but I have often been grossly mistaken...

Ultimately, that's a GU price. If he takes normal prices, I estimate around €1000 for a 70er, the wider the more expensive - and then we are at the price of .

We should have had it done back then. Roof windows would have cost €1000. Afterwards, there was no offer under €1500. However, you can save money by doing it yourself.

Thanks for the info! In our case, an extra €500-€1000 for something we might need in 10 years (maybe?) is probably manageable. But considering you always read that roof windows are the easiest to retrofit, the surcharge is also substantial in percentage terms.
